The Law Of Influence by Pat Melfi

Okay so I forgot to tell you all that I was going to take a break in the middle of this 5 day journey for a vacation and it was wonderful. Your kind emails indicating how much you miss the inspiration is very much appreciated.

So, back on track we are on Day 3 of our journey.

Day 3. The Law of Influence

I started out as the worst salesman in the world. When my goal was to sell music or real estate, I was no good at it at all. My first few years in the business, I floundered like a turtle on his back. Tell you what it was that turned things around and set me right side up. Changing my focus from seeing what I could get to what I could give was when my career started to really take off. Started to. But in a business like mine--actually, in any business--you also need to know how to develop a network. Do you know what I mean by a network? Now, by a network I don't neccessarily mean your customers or clients. I mean a network of people who know you, like you and trust you. They might never buy a thing from you, but they've always got you in the backs of their minds. They're people who are personally invested in seeing you succeed...and of course that's because you are the same way about them. They're your army of personal walking ambassadors. When you've got your own personal walking army of personal ambassadors, you'll have referrals coming your way faster than you can handle them.

Do you want to know what makes that kind of network happen? "Stop keeping score." Don't keep track. That's not networking--that's poker. You know how people always say win-win? Always look for the solution where you both come out ahead. It sounds great--in theory. But most of the time, what people call win-win is really just a disguised way of keeping track. Making sure we all come out even, that nobody gets the advantage...even Steven. I scratched your back, so now you owe me. When you base your relationships--in business or anywhere else in your life--on who owes who what, that is not being a friend. That is being a creditor. Watch out for the other guy. Watch out for hisinterests. Watch hisback. Forget about fifty-fifty. Fifty-fifty's a losing proposition. The only winning proposition is one hundred percent.Make your win about the other person, go after what he or she wants. Forget about win-win--focus on the other person's win.

Your influence is determined by how abundantly you place other people's interests first. And that's the way the Law Of Influence works...because it magnetizes you...Givers attract all the time.

What People Value by Pat Melfi

Cover of "Feelings (Piccolo Books)"Cover of Feelings (Piccolo Books)

One of the world's largest record company's recently interviewed other firms to handle its payroll. After interviewing the three finalist firms, the three members of the selection committee were stumped. They decided on a perfect solution. They flew to each of the finalist's headquarters, took a short walk around and "got a feeling" for each place. When they walked into the third company's lobby, something immediately somehow "just felt right." They stayed but five minutes, and then headed home. From the airport back home, they called the third company with the multi-million dollar good news.

So often, that is the difference. Not superior competence. Not more years of experience. Just something tiny, like the feeling that you give people. People buy feelings--People value--and pay more for--the way you make them feel.

As promised, we are on a 5 day journey in which we said that at the beginning of each day we will begin with a thought, sort of a theme for the day. We will focus on that theme and throughout the day we will apply the theme in our day and from that day forward apply the principle daily.

Day 2: The Law of Compensation

Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment...your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them. Or to put it another way, your compensation is directly proportional to how many lives you touch.

Having been in the entertainment business for over thirty years, I always thought it seemed so unfair how movie stars, musical acts and top athletes pulled down those huge salaries. But people who were doing such great work, such noble work--like school teachers--never got paid what they're worth. It always seemed arbitrary. What I am saying now is, it's not a question of their value. It's a question of their impact. And there two amazing things about this. First, it means that you get to determine your level of compensation--it's under your control. If you want more success, find a way to serve more people. It's that simple. It also means there are no limitations on what you can earn, because you can always find more people to serve. The Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., once said, "Everybody can be great because anybody can serve." Another way to say that might be, everybody can be successful because anybody can give.

Interestingly enough I have spent countless years in service to others. At the beginning of my career, there came upon me a strong feeling that others might take advantage of me for this. A quick study of The Law of Attraction caused me to adjust my feelings about this. In this law I learned that by feeling that way I could actually attract that kind of outcome. Remember we spoke about this last week when we said that when Mind creates a thought or desire, it will actually manifest it. Since I did not want to attract that kind of outcome, I began to think that all people want by nature to be good and deserve to be served.

Again, as we close we find some very key points that are directly tied to The Law of Compensation that are also tied to yesterday's topic The Law of Value. See if can see the common thread and email me back.

I have become a servant to many of you who email me daily, thanking me for the inspiration I am given through the grace of God to motivate you into a better place, a better spirit, a better life...I am truly grateful for that. Without you, I am nothing. Your emails daily, are a service that I cherish. At the end of the day...people buy feelings!!!

The Front Porch To Opportunity by Pat Melfi

Memebrs - Serving one anotherImage by Kanzeon Zen Center via Flickr

"Most people just laugh when they hear that the secret to success is giving...Then again, most people are nowhere near as successful as they wish they were." Think about this statement for a minute. Re-read it as often as it takes for it to sink in. You will find after reading this that it hits a bull's-eye on the subject of success in business and life. Understanding how to help others succeed will help you succeed. It will flip your thoughts on business and life upside down and provide massive value for you throughout your career and life. It will open your mind on how to "serve" your way to success.

In this light one might give consideration to a five day journey that will open your mind and heart to the concept that the "service" you render is at the core of your success.

For simplicity and fun consider taking this 5 day journey with me. At the beginning of each day we will begin with a thought, sort of a theme for the day. We will focus on that theme and throughout the day we will apply the theme in our day and from that day forward apply the principle daily.

Day 1. The Law Of Value:

"Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment."

Most of us seek to earn riches, financial freedom and other desires in life that often focus our thoughts on acquiring more money. When formulating our ideas the question "does it make money" often pops into our heads. It's not a bad question...in fact, it's a great question. It's just a bad first question. It starts you off pointed in the wrong direction. The first question should be "does it serve? Does it add value to others?" If the answer to that question is yes, then go ahead and ask, "does it make money", in other words "exceed people's expectations, and they pay you even more." It is important to remind ourselves that the point here isn't to have them pay you more, it is to give them more. You give, give, give, because you love to. It's not a strategy, it's a way of live and when you do, then very, very profitable things begin to happen.

We have the knowledge and evidence that all the great fortunes in the world have been created by men and women who had a greater passion for what they were giving--their product, service or idea--than for what they were getting. And many of those great fortunes have been squandered by others who had a greater passion for what they were getting than what they were giving.

Join me on this five day journey and remember today to look for opportunities to apply The Law Of Value. Tomorrow we will discuss The Law of Compensation and how it applies to The Law of Value.

A Quitter Never Wins--And A Winner Never Quits by Pat Melfi

Today we examine the powerful words in the statement of the tilte of this article. These are the words of Napolean Hill, the author of Think And Grow Rich. When one realises the value of these words, new plans of action are able to be put into motion. I am reminded of the routines one goes through day-after-day. The comfort zone. I am guilty of this myself. Like millions of other folks, I am a creature of habit. For 35 years I have started to shave on the left side of my face. Some 10 years ago I married this awesome woman who one morning asked me why I started to shave on the left side of my face when I am right handed. I had never thought about that before, but quickly concluded "habit." From that day forward, I began to shave starting with the right side. I admit, at the beginning, it was awkward, it was different and it required discipline. And it followed suit with my comment that "we are all creatures of habit." Now, the new routine is exactly that, a routine such that I hardly remember the old way.

As true to form as this is, the principle applies to one becoming successful in business. Peter Drucker, a Leading Management Specialist makes this comment concerning The Entreprenuerial Mystique..."It's not magic, it's not mysterious, and it has nothing to do with the genes. It's a discipline. And like any discipline, it can be learned."

It is most important to ALWAYS remember that the journey between Point A and Point B is nothing more than a "state of mind." Once the Mind determines it's desire, converts that to writing and applies the very principle of it's writing, it happens. It is that simple. Why then is there so much adversity, poverty and danger in the average life? Why is so hard for the average human being to convert the process to reality? We live in a society where we are taught at every turn, things of value that are not expensive must not be good. We convert that concept to this: If it's not hard or complex, it's not worth having. Simplicity is key to the success of any adventure.

Think back to your dating days. Some dates were easier to acquire than others. The acquired ones were laced with simplicty every time. The minute you put complex strategies to work in something as simple as a date, you failed. You see we as human being want simplicity, honestly and positive results. So the statement "keep it simple stupid" applies to everything we do.

Yesterday I was able to be a part of a valuable lesson with my 4 year old grandson, Parker. While on the basketball court in our back yard, he made the statement, "Granpa, I WANT to make a basket." I could have just lifted him to the basket but instead I used the opportunity as a teaching moment. I asked him if he heard what he had just said and he repeated his statement, "I WANT to make a basket." I spent a moment with him pointing out the word "WANT." I shared with him the thought that I believed that "WANT" is the first step of anything one cares about achieving. He was wide open. Then I followed it up with the statement that he needed to check with God to see if that was also the will of God for him. This innocent young boy looked up to the sky and said "Heavenly Father, is it ok for me to make a basket"? The result, with vigor in his eyes he threw the ball. Not only did he make the basket, Michael Jordan would have envied his shot, a perfect swish.

So, in conclusion of today's positive vibe, start with the desire, write down the desire, place a time frame on accomplishing the desire, check with God and get on about enjoying the benefits that come from your accomplishment...and you WILL accomplish all that you set out to do. Pretty simple huh? Try it for a week and write me back with your success stories.

Becoming The Kind Of Person Every Team Wants by Pat Melfi

DAVOS/SWITZERLAND, 21JAN04 - Quincy Jones, Cha...Image via Wikipedia

Adaptable: If you won't change for the team, the team may change you. Inflexibility is one of the worst huam failings. You can learn to check impetuously, overcome fear with confidence, and laziness with discipline. But for rigidity of mind there is no antidote. It carries the seeds of its own destruction...Anonymous

His friends called him Q. He has become a legend in the entertainment industry. He has worked with the best in the business, starting in the bebop era: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, and the list goes on. He produced the best-selling music single of all time "We Are The World." He produced the best-selling album of all time: Michael Jackson's Thriller. He has been nominated for more Grammy Awards than any other person, and as of today, he has won a total of thirty-one. The person I am talking about is Quincy Jones.

Quincy Jones was born in 1933 in Chicago and spent his first decade in one of the city's roughest neighborhoods. By his own admission, Jones says that he and his brother got into a lot of trouble in those early days. Then his famil;y moved to Bremerton, Washington.

Soon afterward Jones discovered his love for music. At the age of elevn, he decided that he wanted to play an instrument. So he started with percussion. Even back then he showed signs of a quality that would mark him as a professional--his adaptability. He began staying after school and trying out a variety of other instruments. He tried the clarinet and violin, but ultimately he was attracted to brass. So he tried out all the brass instuments: baritone, French horn and trombone. Finally he landed on the trumpet, and he excelled.

By age fourteen, he had his first paying job as a musician. As a teenager, he became frirnds with Ray Charles, who is just a few years older than he. Jones began to compose music and to learn how to do arrangements.

Jones has always displayed a strong hunger to learn--which he calls an "obsessive curiosity"--an amazing adaptabilty. In 1957, when he thought he could use more education, he moved to Paris and studied under Nadia Boulanger, who had tutored Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein.

His flexibilty and creativity have served Jones well. They have not only enabled him to work with all kinds of musicians--from Latin to pop and from jazz to rap--but they have also enabled him to bring out the best of any person he works with.

To Jones, being able to adjust or stretch himself is not a big deal: it's just who he is.

Teamwork and personal rigidity just don't mix. If you want to work well with others and be a good team player, you have to be willing to adapt yourself to your team. Harvard Business School professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter observed, "The individuals who will succeed and flourish will also be the Masters of change: adept at reorienting their own and others' activities in untried directions to bring about higher levels of achievement." Team players who exhibit adaptability have certain characteristics. Adaptable peopl are...teachable, emotionally secure, creative and service minded. How are you when it comes to adaptability? If improving the team requires you to change the way you do things, how do you react? Are you supportive, or would you rather do things the way they've "always been done before"? Are you willing to take on a different role and change positions to help out?

The first key to being a team player is being willing to adapt yourself to the team--not an expectation that the team will adapt to you.

Solutions are always a part of my opinions. In no way do I ever consider my way "the way." I only invite thought into your minds and hearts. Consider these 3 things to improve yourself and become a better "team player."

1. Get into the habit of learning: For many years I carried a 3 x 5 card in my pocket. Every day I learned something new, I'd write it down on the card. By the end of the day, I'd try to share the idea with a friend or colleague and then file the idea for future use. It got me in the habit of looking for things to learn. Try it for a week and see what happens.

2. Reevaluate your role: Spend some time looking at your current role on your team. The try to discover whether there is another role you could fulfill as well or better than you do your current one. That process may prompt you to make a better transition, but even if it doesn't, the mental excercise will increase your flexibility.

3. Think outside the lines: Let's face it: many people aren't adaptable because they get into negative ruts. If you tend to be prone to ruts, then write down this phrase and keep it where you can see it every day: "Not why it can't be done but how it can be done." Look for unconventional solutions every time you must meet a challenge. You'll be surprised by how creative you can become if you continually strive to do so.

Are You Nine Tenths Under Water by Pat Melfi

Actual Miles: Henley's Greatest Hits album coverImage via Wikipedia

Interestingly enough today comes with a topic we call "action." When Donald Trump was asked what the first part of oratory was, he answered : "Action"; and what the second was, he answered "Action" and the third, he still answered, "Action".

More men and women have been cheated of their destiny by inaction than by any other cause. And even men and women of mediocre talents have achieved success beyond their dreams by the simple process of harnessing great energies to modest abilities.

For action itself is a form of ability, and the greatest talents are useless without the decision and the drive to launch them and put them over among those we are anxious to reach and impress. You will hear the word "action" frequently repeated in my vocabulary, since action is one of the most important phrases of a successful life and an imperative command for men and women who want to convert their abilities into cash. The time for ACTION is NOW !!! Take a look around us...action wins wars, sells goods, pays divedends, solves labor troubles, stabalizes industry and government, and commands the grudging respect of men and women everywhere who are incapacitated and defeated by the inability to act.

By a show of hands and be honest...how often, in envy of another man or women's success, have you said to yourself, "He or She's got nothing I haven't got"; or even "He or she hasn't got even as much as I do"? Yet, far from being immodest, your conclusions may be demonstrably true; but only demonstration can prove it; and that's something the other man or woman has that you haven't got! They demonstrate while others only dream. The truth is, action must be an integral part of your equipment, or your other qualifications, however exceptional, will receive scant consideration in the market place. If you possess the gift of action, you need not fret too much about your limited endowments.

Man is not the largest physical creature in the world, yet he has dominion over the earth, and all things in it. God gave this dominion to man through Mind and the conscious ability to form ideas. Man, through his imagination and applied acquired knowledge, discovers and explores the physical laws, and harnesses these laws and puts them in service for his comfort and convenience. Everything that men and women create has its origin in Mind.

What is Ability? Ability is the capacity to act, the quality or state of being able. It is the power to perform, whether physical, moral, intellectual or legal. The ability of the average man or woman may be compared to an ice-berg: about nine-tenths of it is under water. Professor William James, the eminent and renowned psychologist, estimated that the average man and woman uses only 10 percent of their real ability, while the other 90 percent is latent. Latent ability is potential power, and can be released by the proper encouragement and the proper treatment. The might and power of ability feeds on its own achievement, and when inspired it permeates the whole consciousness with a synchronized responsiveness and any art, craft, or business is performed efficiently, and enjoyed freely. A superior service is rendered and a larger income is earned.

Let's talk about a way to develop ability! It cannot be developed all at once. It is like building a house. One brick must be laid at a time. Most people want to begin with the house instead of the bricks. Things are not built as a whole, but in parts, and each part must be built. The same principle applies to ability. You must build a little each day.

Here is a challenge I would like to make to you. Develop 3 sentences each day on the improvement of yourself, a profession, craft or business. At the end of 1 year you will have a total of 1100 sentences, and at the end of 4 years enough material to write a book. This can be accomplished in 15 minutes each day...a little built each day is amazing in its results. We are taught in our families, in our civic organizations, in our schools, in our churches to be satisfied with what we have, to want more is wrong. I challenge you to never be satisfied, instead always be grateful for everything around you. I cannot recall anywhere in my research hearing God say you cannot have everything and more of what you desire...as long as you check with me. Did you get that? Check with me...If it is the will of God, and it is, and you have the desire, it will manifest before your very eyes if you apply the knowledge you gain. Oh that word again..."application"....hmmmm!!!

Let's consider that word "application" for a minute. The application of what you know reveals how many things you do not know. Stop here and re-read this...the application of what you know reveals how many things you DO NOT know. But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the hearts of men and women, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. Application puts this principle of the the Bible into operation. Application of ability is like steam to a locomotive. It draws into action all the mechanisms and channels it into power.

Another way to develop your ability is to lay down a challenge. In analyzing those individuals who have made a phenomenal success, we find that it was not the result of an elaborate education, or a specialized training. Instead we see most of them had little formal education and none of them were trained for leadership. What then is this big secret behind their success? These individuals had one quality in common--the daring ability to start something. They challenged their own ability. They dared to think for themselves. They determined to do something and rely on their own. Did you get that...rely on their own...it is NOT someone elses reponsibility to apply for your life, it is yours.

Today we have the phenomenal band we call The Eagles. On their last album they laid down some tracks to a very powerful and subliminal message in one of their love songs...........Do Something. With confidence engendered by action, they drew on their own ability to do things others thought impossible, using a love song. They did not know that they could not do it, so they went ahead and did it. A simple love song is entwined with, in my opinion, one of the most powerful phrases one can ever take into their mind....DO SOMETHING! I want to share some of these quality lyrics for your consideration; Everything I believe in has been turned upside down...and now it seems the whole wide world's gone crazy...and when I feel like giving up...and I'm ready to walk away...In the stillness I can hear a voice inside me say DO SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING...it's not too late for saving grace...don't just stand there taking up space....DO SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING...It's not over, no, its never too late to DO SOMETHING.

If you are here today, you know what I am talking about, you have had this stillness being referred to in this song, you have heard the words in your own heads, you have heard the message to DO SOMETHING. Many of my experiences in my life are surrounded by music. My associates one day challenged me to share my attitude with others that need this information. I have always chosen not to do that but then one day, from the most unsuspecting place came a re-acquaintance with an old freind. That freind, Geoff Watson. Many of you here know Geoff. Geoff and I go back 9-10 years now and while our paths were distintively diffent in travel, they had an interesting common denominator. They had ability, they had conviction, they had confidence, they had turmoil, they had failure, they are fascinating, (notice I said fascinating although one may intepret them as depressing...LOL),they had common losses in real estate, in music, in business and even poossibly put threats on our marriages. They had women that truly believed in us even under this level of stress. They saw our characters and held us up, gave us the strength to re-group and apply. Interestingly enough, for the both of us, it included a complete exit from our comfort zones, our careers, our knowingness of what we believed could support our families, raise our children, even give us financial freedom and position us to help our fellow man to do the same. It involved taking a risk at a very "broke" time...Scary huh ??? Geoff and I are truly grateful for what these women had the ability to do and moreso their ability to "take action" when we needed it.

Speaking of getting out of our comfort zone, he the master of the restoration of the renowned Corvette and I the master of Artist promotion and management, the personal development of the creative skill of others...it took something way outside of our comfort zone to achieve financial success and happiness. More than anything, it took courage, the support of others, and more than anything, it took "ACTION". On that note I want to leave you with this thought. The fact that you are here today tells me you may need to hear these last words.

Pasteur, who gave more knowledge for the preservation of health than any other man, was not a physician. Whitney, the man who invented the cotton gin, was a school teacher in Connecticut, far away from the fields of cotton. John D. Rockefeller was a clerk in a produce house. Andrew Carnegie was a bobbin boy. Thomas Edison was a newsboy. Henry Ford was an electrical mechanic. Benjamin Franklin was a printer's apprentice. Morse of telegraphic fame was a portrait painter. Bell, the inventor of the telephone, was a teacher of sound. Eastman, the Kodak king, was a bank clerk. Men and women who blaze new trails, character new routes, pioneer new methods, make new discoveries and invent new things are men and women who dare to do things that can't be done. While others faulter, these men and women go forward. I challenge you to seek and search and things will be revealed, even the innermost things of perfection. Men and women to do not need pull. They need to think. A challenge to dare, an incentive to undertake, and the urge to begin turns most things into a blessing. Those who dare to think stand out in the majesty of their own might.

If you are truly seeking change in your life, take a very close look at what we do. It WILL change your life. In my 35 years of promoting some of the world's biggest bands, I have always acted as my first customer. My conviction has been if it is good enough for me to buy, it is good enough for to sell or promote it. On the other hand, if it is not good enough for me to buy, it is not good enough for me to sell or promote it. Conviction based upon the principle of good is invincible and never fails to convince. It acts with determination and confidence. Convince yourself, and you will convince others and ALWAYS remember God is NOT partial to a fortunate few. His unlimited gifts and riches are free to all. However, there are certain laws that govern them starting with "Action." Take you action now, get with the person who brought you to this space and layout your plan of action.

How To Turn Your Desires Into Action by Pat Melfi

Image of Geoff Watson from FacebookImage of Geoff Watson

Today we are going to discuss a little formula that I have devised when a close friend of mine Geoff Watson asked me to create a plan of action for a significant change in my life. I am going to start out by making what I feel will be one of the most powerful statements you may ever read, so read it, over and over agin, until it sinks into the very fiber of your body. Here we go:

"Your Greatest Enemy according to Pat Melfi

" Negative thinking is a sneaky little enemy that silently steals its way into a man's consciousness and, like a thief in the night, steals not only his purse but, through robbing him of power, makes him poor indeed. Negative thinking is a sinister influence that works night and day to prey on a man's soul. It is a man's worst enemy, and life's meanest foe. It is worse than war, and largely, the cause of war. It is the curse of the human race. It robs a man of reason. It stirs up hate, greed, selfishness, anger, suspicion, jealousy, revenge, lust and envy. It tears down confidence, undermines health, impairs character and causes poverty."

WOW !!! Did I say all that? Often, I find myself sparring with God because He continuosly wakes me up at the strangest hours to write this stuff. Last night I asked him if He could find someone else beecause I was really tired...His response went something like this...you want me to call a plumber to do this writers job? Haha I said, gracefully got out of bed and did the assignment I was given in exchange for a promise that He would let me get a full night's sleep tomorrow. Imagine that, even God will negotiate with you if you have Him at the core of all you do !!!

This thing we casually refer to as "negative thinking" is indeed powerful... and just think as simple as it sounds the opposite "positive thinking must be equally powerful in the opposite manner. Positive thoughts are creative and negative thoughts are destructive. I often compare positive thoughts to light, and negative thoughts to darkness. Darkness is nothing. It is the absence of light. Turn on the light, and there is no darkness. Positive thoughts are based on understanding and faith. Negative thoughts are based on ignorance and doubt. There is no problem or condition that fails to disappear in the light of positive thoughts. Positive and creative thoughts will burn holes in problems, as a lighted cigarette will burn holes in tissue paper.

Pretty simple huh??? Then why is the world, the media and everything around us filled with so many negative thoughts? I have been asked by many people why I watch so much news and take in so many negative thoughts. My response is always the same. I look through the negativety in search of a way to find methods that I can share that will help my fellow man. Yes that is dangerous, but is it not our responsibility to serve our fellow man? All too often we fail to capture that as the very foundation of any plan we put into action. Self-serving actions are negative thoughts. I am not a religious man but consider myself more spiuritual than the average guy that goes to church every week, professes to have God at the wheel of their journey or even quotes scripture on a daily basis.

Consider this formula: "Positive thoughts will knock out your worst enemy--negative thinking."

As always, I like to offer solutions to my points of view. In no way, do I believe my way is the right way, however I always invite my point of view into your hearts and minds, simply for consideration, so I am going to give you 8 things to do that will re-focus you on your journey to positive thoughts, so here we go: Take note of #1, re-read it over and over again until you get the idea that ALL things belong to God to begin with.

1. Meditate and ask God if there is any reason why you should not have the things you desire. Dismiss your desires for a few days and if it is right for you to have it, the desire will become more intense. This removes doubt and uncertainty, and inspires determination and action. (RE-READ THIS FIRST STEP OVER AND OVER AGAIN)

2. Make a strong mental picture of what you desire, and affirm it several times each day.

3. Be "specific", not general about what you desire. If you desire money, visualize the amount and FEEL it in your pocket. If you desire customers, visualize the number and SEE them doing business with you. If you desire things, visualize the kind of thing you want and see yourself with it. If you desire a position, visualize the kind and it will soon makes its appearance in your experience.

4. Relax, meditate and be POSITIVE when you visualize your desire.

5. Be aware that ideas are infinite and the ways to manifest them are as uncountable as the stars of the heaven. Make your selection.

6. Insert a feeling of kindness into your desire. It sends out vibrations of love that are a souce of attraction (THE LAW OF ATTRACTION)

7. Remember--an idea based on good backed by a sincere desire held to by faith NEVER FAILS TO MATERIALIZE.

8. Back to the beginning: Thank God for the abundance that is yours now...REPEAT DAILY !!!

A secret and underlying thought to all of this that you might consider is this: The Law of Wealth is ALWAYS on the job, don't call in sick. ALWAYS believe that you shall receive the things you desire, and you shall have them...and your final questions to all you seek should be "Is this the will of God for me?"
